For this recipe you will not be cutting apple rings, instead it will be more of an apple slices situation. You will be cutting them in a “fry” type of shape.
What ingredients do you need for these air fryer apple fries?
· 4 Granny Smith apples
· 2 eggs
· 1 teaspoon of vanilla
· 2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice
· 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon, divided
· 3/4 cup of all purpose flour
· 1/4 cup sugar
How do you make this apple fries recipe?
First you will Peel and cut apples into 16 wedge each apple. In one mixing bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla together. In another small bowl, mix pumpkin spice, 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon and flour.
Dredge apple wedges in the flour mixture, the egg mixture and then toss apple slices in the flour mixture again. Place battered wedges in air fryer basket in a single layer and spray with oil. Cook on 320 for 13 minutes. In storage bag, add the sugar and remaining cinnamon and toss fries in the mixture.
