If you’re a donut lover looking for something delicious to prepare for breakfast, these Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Donuts are a must. With only five ingredients, you can prepare them at home in minutes and have fresh, warm, and sweet donuts ready to serve to your loved ones.
It’s the kind of breakfast or dessert that you look forward to making because it’s that easy and fun, plus the outcome is delicious! Make these donuts as often as you’d like and get creative with them by switching up the toppings from time to time.
Prepare, Heat, and Eat
First, you’ll grab the biscuit dough and use a cookie cutter or other kitchen tool to remove the center from each piece of dough! You can cook those center sections after preparing the donuts to make some donut holes, so you won’t have to worry about any food going to waste.
Once you’re ready, pop your dough in the air fryer and let it cook for up to six minutes before removing the cooked dough and placing it on a cooling rack!
While you have the donuts off to the side, prepare your melted butter and bowl of cinnamon with sugar. You’ll need to cover the donuts in butter before quickly dipping them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. It’s that simple!
Can I make a glaze for the donuts?
If you’d like to make a glaze for the donuts, you can do that by combining confectioners’ sugar with heavy cream and a bit of vanilla extract. However, you don’t need a glaze for these donuts because the melted butter and cinnamon sugar give them such an excellent taste.
